There are so many awesome places in NOLA to eat Sunday brunch. The first one we tried to go to was Ruby Slipper. They had a line a mile long out the door. So we decided to move along. There was some place called Huevos. Yelp! told us that place had recently closed.
So we drove a little bit, and came to Refuel. They describe it as a hipster/trendy place, so we were a little timid about it, and how busy it was going to be. It was a pleasant surprise to find the place not packed at all! So we decided to park it there for brunch.
They had a lot of great things to choose from; from waffles, to andouille sausage omelet, to breakfast sandwiches with fruit. And a display case full of muffins and bread. Let me just tell you that this place was fantastic. I had the migas; and B had something with andouille omelet with avocado. They gave you this orange sauce stuff that was crack; I believe they call it their ranchero sauce. It was seriously the most amazing thing on the planet.

i loved this for some reason. he was immersed in his ipad. every now and then he would look up at me and B like he knew we didn't live there. |
migas! and the crack sauce. it also came with the most amazing black beans i've ever eaten |
b was a little healthier than i was. whatever. vacation = no calories. |
We of course also ate at our old stand by, Cafe Beignet one morning, and also substituted mimosas for breakfast one day.
Brunch is definitely a must while in NOLA.
