Sorry for the short absence...I was in Green Bay having the time of my life at a Packers game!! Of course there will be more on that later....
And too many pictures to even try to put on here.
So we'll go into the Greek festival instead.
Birmingham does this every year; it's got to be the biggest fundraising event for the Greek Orthodox Church here. We have done it every year since we've moved here.
Of course the food is fantastic and authentic, and their wine and coffee is strong.
Such good food. You can get chicken and rice, traditional gyros, all sorts of desserts, wine, beer, coffee. You can buy feta.
You can even buy your own souvenir shirt or a cute dress with Greek designs. A Greek flag, some Greek chocolate, olives. Seriously, whatever you want.
Um, be careful when drinking the coffee. Or you will get a mouthful of coffee grinds as your last sip. :) Worth it though.
This is definitely one of the things I'm going to miss about Birmingham!!
