We didn't get in until about 10pm on Friday night, so naturally, we made Friday night our Bourbon Street night. Usually we limit ourselves to one night of this touristy fun, so what better night when we are already slightly tipsy (thanks Southwest flight attendant who forgot to charge us!)?
We have a few places that we just have to stop in while on Bourbon; we have to have hand grenades, and we have to hit Cats Meow; they have a great top floor deck, and when it's not Mardi Gras, or some other big thing in New Orleans (or I guess when a hurricane is not coming), you can actually get a spot up there, and get a fantastic view of Bourbon.
My hair is so ridiculous in those shots. Crazy humidity. Again, hurricane coming. We were lucky to get be able to get out, but more on that later...
Pizza shot? I know it's terrible; but it's our Vieux Carre pizza. Just amazing pizza, people. That's the Bourbon Special, and a lot of times you have to wait for them to cook another, but totally worth the wait to get it. I promise. Plus...they sell amazing hurricanes right across the street, in no other than a drug store.
Gotta love New Orleans.
