From My Dad's Camera

16.10.12

When we were in Green Bay, we all took pictures.  B took 170 pictures of just the game.  Of course he got a little snap happy with the good camera (I think Miller had a thing or two to do with that), and I got a little happy with the iPhone.  But these things happen.

A couple days ago, my dad set up an account on Shutterfly that he shared with me, and of course, all the Green Bay pictures were on there.  And here's what I found...

Yes, this is my Dad doing the predator.

Going into Lambeau....Green and gold everywhere!!

After the game.

Happy.  We won!

Finally got a real smile out of him.

Me and B.
Never allowed.
Again.
Close up.

By Lake Michigan.

This week has been awful.  I can't remember a time when I've had this bad a week at work.  I try to just count down the hours until it's time to go home.  Or until the weekend.  I try to tell myself every day that in the grand scheme of things, having a dispatcher yell at me, or missing a load is not the end of the world.  But no matter what I tell myself, I will never actually believe it.

I'm wired to worry about everything and to worry about what everyone thinks about me at every point in time.  It is just a job, but I have an irrational fear of getting fired, or getting yelled at.  I hate confrontation.  I guess it just boils down to me not liking what I do.

At all.

I'm hoping that with a move I will finally be able to do something that I want to do.

Another one Gone!!

15.10.12

We will make it through this list!  We scratched another one off the restaurant list this past week.  There was a new Mexican restaurant that opened up a little while ago.  It was made out to be an authentic Mexican restaurant.

Ok, I'm sort of noticing a pattern here with the Mexican food and whatever.  But it was yummy nonetheless.

Oh.  If you ever go here, please heed my warning and do not eat a jalapeno.  As much I love to just eat them by themselves, there is something wrong with these, and they will  light you up.

Light.  You.  Up.

Anyway, one more down!!

First Auburn Home Game This Year (for me!)

13.10.12

Auburn has not had a very good football season.  They are 1-5 right now.  And I'm not going to lie; it's a little frustrating.

I know Auburn is so much more than college football, but sometimes you just want to stand up and scream WTF?!

Last weekend we went with B's parents to the AU vs Arkansas game.  And lost.  And it was hot.  And we lost.

I still love going there.  Nothing will ever compare to being back on that campus.

It was eighty million degrees, and they were losing so we left the game early.  It was just getting way too hard to watch.

But I had to go to Toomers.  I had to see the trees.  And of course get Toomer's Lemonade.  Nothing could prepare me for what I was about to see.  I never thought I'd ever get emotional about trees, but seeing them brought tears to my eyes.  I wanted to get a picture of it, but just couldn't bring myself to do it.
This is what the trees looked like completely healthy after a big win.

And this is what I saw on Saturday (both pictures via google images)
 It's hard to swallow.

It's hard to believe how crazy some people are sometimes.  If you have no idea what I'm talking about google "Toomer's Oaks poisoning."

We play Ole Miss today and are underdogs, probably since the first time Eli Manning has been there.
