Packers Game - Baltimore Edition

4.11.13

Yes, I know that I am way far behind in this update, but you know?  Sometimes in life, you just get far behind.

The game was a little rainy and a little chilly, but the walk to the stadium in Baltimore is pretty cool.  You get to walk by the Orioles baseball stadium, and then up through their walkway, which I think they call the Walk of Champions, but I can't remember.  No pictures, because I was too busy having fun being a Packer fan, and jamming out to a street band.

Our seats were in the upper deck, and we were engrossed by a lot of other Packer fans as well.  It's always so nice to be a traveling Packer fan, because you know that you will never be alone.  It's got to be one of the best traveling teams in the country; plus getting to hear a chant of Go Pack Go in an opposing stadium is awesome.

The Packers did end up winning the game 19-17.  I still have a winning record when it comes to seeing the Packers!  Let's hope I can keep it going!!

Some of the Most Humiliating Pictures of Me Ever.

16.10.13

I'm not even sure this post needs words.  My dad took this in Baltimore, and yes Internet, I am going to post them.

Want to know why?

Because I'm not scared.

My dad took all of these, so credit toward the man who took pictures only a daddy could love.  My personal fave is the one with the crab hat, because honestly, where else are you going to find a hat like that.

Still kicking myself for not getting it.

I'm such a dork.

But I'm ok with it.

I've also never been so pale in my life.

Damn skin cancer.

Oh well..

All of these were from Baltimore, from our trip to Inner Harbor, which there will be more about.  I just like to embarrass myself in front of the Internet first, of course.

Brunch In Baltimore

14.10.13

This past weekend was spent in Baltimore.

Watching the Packers kick ass.

But more importantly getting to spend it with my dad.  We started the tradition last year of going to at least one Packers away game a year.  If you remember, last year was St. Louis, so this year, we decided to go all out and hit up the home of the defending Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens.

Due to new job changes of course, I couldn't have Monday off, but we spent pretty much all day Saturday at the Inner Harbor, eating, drinking, enjoying life (more on this day later, plus a super awesome trip to H&M where I bought nothing, because I probably could have bought the whole store.  Maybe Birmingham will one day get one of those.  But I won't hold my breath), and seeing all sorts of Packers fans.

If you know nothing about pro football, know this....the Packers travel well.  There were a ton of Packers fans everywhere!

Again, I get ahead of myself.  It's now Sunday morning, and the semi-hungover, tired as crap people need some food.  So we found a place that wasn't full of hotel food and coffee:  Saturday Morning CafĂ©.   It was definitely a little Southern joint with specialties like shrimp n grits and chicken and waffles.

Plus their coffee was amazing.

They had those little muffins/scones for a breakfast appetizer...and they came out all warm and delicious.  Plus I had the shrimp n grits, which was incredibly full of bacon and cheese, and really well prepared grits.

The service here was incredible, their coffee was complimentary, and it wasn't unbelievably crowded with the Sunday brunch kids.

Definitely an awesome spot for breakfast will in Baltimore.

Although, if you are wearing opposing team gear, they may just seat you in the basement.

I'm obsessed...

17.10.11

Okay. I know. I have been a terrible blogger. I even got harassed by the husband, so you know it's bad.

A couple weeks ago we went to Atlanta. To do what you may ask?

To see the Packers! Ugh, I know. But the chance to see Aaron Rodgers in the flesh? I'll take it. And get this. I found out that his little brother is the quarterback at Vanderbilt. Which is in Nashville. Which is only 3 hours away. And my total in to the Rodgers family.

Umm...kidding. Maybe.

Anyway!! We made the short 2 1/2 trip to the Georgia Dome to see my favorite NFL team. We were only 20 some odd rows up in the end zone. We also went to a great little Irish place that claimed it had the best fish and chips in Atlanta. I'm not sure what other places have them, but they were so good, I really forgot to take the picture.

But enjoy the pictures that I did take!! And I hope that y'all are doing well! I have missed the little bloggy world!!
I am starting to seriously hate the hair. I miss the long-ness.

The fish 'n chips place. Yums.

Clay Matthews' booty. #52 in case you were wondering.

The boys.

There they are again!

And again.

They are now 6-0. Take that Chicago!
